Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Reasonably priced dim sum place at a coffeeshop overlooking the sea. What else can you ask for? The dim sum is nice and you can tell by the crowd on a Monday morning."
"Dim Sum restaurant during daytime. Food is good especially char siew pau. The only annoying issue is a mandatory parking charge of RM2 upon entry into the property. Great sea views and breezy."
"Pretty good food court that offers dim sum in the morning. It's very popular in the evenings as a good food court with many choices of hawker food available. Personally I like the morning session better as it is not so crowded. Dim Sum is pretty good and offers the standard range."
"Their Hong-Kong style dim sums are delicious and sumptuous, delightful at every bite, especially the steamed Ling fish and salted egg yolk Siew Mai! Simply irresistible and the very friendly service is second to none."
"Excellent dim sum spot inside Northam beach food court. Dim sum was handmade, fully stuffed with prawns, meat and fish, thick, juicy, fresh and delicious. Lovely seaside view. Spacious and cool seating. Quick, attentive and friendly service. Free food court parking. Wheelchair accessible to all areas of the food court. Toilets are clean, OKU toilet available too."
"Home-made dim sum dishes served at this open-air food court beside the beach. Food is good, with a wide array of choices for selection. Ambience is very relaxing and pricing is reasonable too considering the portions served. Parking is available as it is a private open-air car park."
"After Morning walk catching the sunrise ,walk by the beach , walk, walk, walk until reach Northern Beach. Makan time. try thier tim sam and pau. All homemade. And price are reasonable. Good environment, clean air, easy parking. So many good points . I ordered 1 Char Siew Bao RM2.50 nice flavour 1 LAM yu Bao RM3.50 the LAM Yu taste was there and the pork belly are big 1 Siew Mai RM5.50 it was soft and flavourful 1 Lo Mai Gai RM6.5 For me, it was a bit bland. But the Lo Mai are very soft. 1 Lio Sa Pao RM7.50 Use to be my favourite but now is too sweet for me. Can’t eat much. Anyway, here is a great place for relax and makan. One stone kill two birds"
"We had dim sum brunch. Still many varieties to choose from. I like the custard egg pao that melts in your mouth. The shrimp har kao, bbq pork roll, siew mai and fried yam pudding were well done. The chicken leg so so. Don't like garlic on the steamed paikut. The prices are very reasonable without any add ons of a restaurant. Parking was not a problem as the hawkers stalls only sell in the evening. We will visit again to try the other dim sum varieties. 17 Oct 2024 We visited again after about 5+ months. Confirmed that the yam pudding, carrot cake, custard pao, har kau, and Siew mai still good & delicious. The chee cheong fun (prawn) was a bit soft with the chilly so so. The boss said all the dishes are made in house by their chef!! Prices are reasonable, and the dishes are "bigger". There is no plus, plus add on the final bill."
